Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kinard Applied Solutions ("Company", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information when you use Paius.

This policy applies to individuals in the United States, including California residents, and covers information we process in connection with accounts, organization workspaces, preflight planning, receipts, approvals, imports, and product analytics.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and identity data: name, email address, authentication provider identifiers, password hash (if applicable), session identifiers, and email verification status.
  • Organization and collaboration data: organization name, workspace slug, role and membership records, team records, and invitation metadata.
  • Workflow content: preflight inputs, estimate outputs, receipts, approvals, policy settings, pricing profile references, and usage import summaries.
  • Usage and telemetry data: product interaction events and optional contextual metadata used for product analytics and reliability.
  • Security and request metadata: IP address, request timestamps, token request metadata, and anti-abuse/rate-limit records.

2. What we do not collect by default

  • Paius does not require uploading raw file contents for preflight estimation. The core estimator uses metadata you provide, such as file size or page count.
  • Paius is not a general proxy for third-party AI providers and does not, by default, ingest full prompt/response transcript streams from those providers.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and maintain account access, organization workspaces, and product features.
  • Authenticate users, secure accounts, detect abuse, and enforce rate limits.
  • Deliver transactional communications, including verification and password-reset messages.
  • Operate analytics and reporting features within your organization workspace.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our contractual rights.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use your data to train third-party foundation models.

4. Legal bases and California notice

We process personal information as needed to perform services requested by our customers, to pursue legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention and service reliability, to comply with applicable law, and with consent where required.

California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and may request information about categories of personal information collected, disclosed, and used for business purposes. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law.

5. Service providers and subprocessors

We use service providers to operate the service, including:

  • Resend for transactional email delivery.
  • Google for optional social sign-in when enabled.
  • Customer-selected identity providers for optional SSO integrations.
  • Cloud infrastructure and managed database providers for hosting, storage, and reliability operations.

Our current subprocessor disclosure list is available at /subprocessors.

6. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide services, satisfy legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods typically include:

  • Workspace records while an account or organization remains active.
  • Security and request metadata on a rolling schedule, generally around 30 days, and longer when reasonably necessary for active security investigations.
  • Account and organization deletion requests completed within 30days after verification, subject to legal and security exceptions.

7. Your privacy rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, and California-specific disclosures using the in-app privacy request form in Settings or by contacting us at paiussupport@pauis.net. We may verify identity before fulfilling a request. We process verified requests without undue delay and generally within 30 days unless an extension is permitted by law.

8. Security and incident response

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. If we identify a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, mitigate, and provide required notifications without undue delay as required by applicable law.
